Ber mansion is located in Midrand, South Africa, and was introduced by design studio Nico van der Meulen Architects. The client wanted his house was modern, iconic, no extra rooms, an open floor plan and spacious enough. Four bedroom suites, living room and large office became mandatory conditions. 

Mansion has a simple rectangular shape, it occupies the central part of the living room area, and designed around the pond and swimming pool. Entering the house, you find yourself in a spacious hall leading to living room, dining room and kitchen. The boundaries between the rooms symbolize granite slabs without weighting, however, the interior Stylish staircase, also made ​​of granite and decorated with illuminated in the handrail, immediately attracts attention. Living room crosses the bridge connecting children's room with the master bedroom. Modern design furniture, steel sculptures, bright accents on a neutral background color and other interesting decisions shape the character of the interior.

A small area of ​​the house with two floors has a compact and extremely rational plan: on the ground floor housed a spacious entrance hall, kitchen and lounge. On the second - another, more private, living room, study and bedroom of the family head. Architects were not radically move walls and shuffle function space, but only a little "tweaked" opening for the new stairs and isolated in the bedroom space for a dressing room. Space formed by simple, elegant reception "split and merge". Total white monotony broken tectonic articulation surfaces on large blocks. In the kitchen and in the living room of the second floor ceiling plane is cut into individual plates, separated by "gorges", in which the hidden lights. Contrast large monochrome surfaces and objects with different textures and colors accentuates the different functional areas of the house, and the texture of natural wood floor finish and other elements of an interior, gathers everything in a single unit, making these areas flow smoothly into one another. The same principle is applied in the environment. For example, the functional content of kitchen cabinets (shelves, drawers and boxes) conceal large-scale minimalist facades and window sill and kitchen "apron" made of artificial stone, became one. Sink in the European tradition, is located near the window. On the second floor provides all the same game geometric planes, angles, volume and thickness. Please note that the interior is formed by only three colors: white, black and natural wood color. As an accent color red is added. The space does not seem boring. The secret lies in the skillful combination of different textures and choose right lighting that gives a deliberately limited color palette and seemingly simple forms, a lot of nuances and effects. Part of the space bedroom in a minimalist style that present romantic notes, succeeded in isolating a dressing room. Bedside wall, finished leather, turned into a soft headboard. Bedroom and bathroom - the room, which should be as cool. Nothing superfluous and irritating the eyes, everything is extremely comfortable. Natural milky-white and brown tones tuned to relaxation and rest.
